Hotel San Borondon

It is well located and worth it if you look at it pricewise. The room is big, I rented a double-bedded room, and i've never seen this big of a bed before in my life, it was like 2 meters wide, so the rooms are definitely comfortable. For breakfast there were a wide variety of choices. The only problems that i encountered were that my room on the first floor faced the hall, so i was woken up every day at 7 AM because of some loud talking there, and there also wasn't an air conditioning unit in the room, which made the room extremely warm at night. All in all, i wouldn't say it was a bad stay, but i've stayed in better places.

This was our first holiday together and a birthday present for my other half. We stayed in a studio room which had a fridge and some basic cooking equipment. The room was very spacious with a twin bed and was decorated to a good standard (as per the photos online) The bathroom had a walk in shower and again was clean. The hotel had a great feel about it and all of the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food. We opted for breakfast only as there are so many restaurants nearby that we didn't want to miss out on. What we did have at breakfast was great there was a huge selection of cooked and continental, fresh bread and pastry. Fresh coffee. Again staff at dining were all very friendly and welcoming. Location. We were so lucky with the location of this hotel, as we have never visited Tenerife before we had no idea where we were however that said we had everything we wanted or needed only a few minutes away. There are some great restaurants a few minutes from the hotel and sandy beaches. There is also a good supermarket at the end of the road. Staff. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was great and surrounding area was immaculate and kept that way throughout our stay by the lifeguard. The life guard was very thorough keeping the pool area tidy and clean and was constantly keeping on top of this every day. We would definitely return.

Good stay with unpleasant surprises I like: The best thing is that the hotel is 100% the same as on pictures (including, biulding, sweeming pool and rooms)! Room is very spasiouse, with huge bed, big bathroom with double sink. A nice balcony (we have with a pool-view). There is nice and soft linenbed (though we got with holes :), white fresh towels, cosmetics. We booked half-board. Both breakfasts and dinners were deliciouse. Not far from the hotel you can find free-of-charge parking spots. Didn't like: 1. The first shock is thet the fridge in a room is with a key and you have to pay extra (3 euro/day), though you paid 80euros per room already (also a locker is paid additionally). 2. What else do you have to pay extra? Drinks during the dinner. Yes, my fault, that I had't read carefully the facilities, but who could ever think that ordering half-board (with dinner) doesn't mean ordering drinks as well? 3. Personel is not very friendly, they do there job, but you do not feel as if they like it. Espesially a wooman in a restaurant, who do not pay attenttion to you totally, if you do not order these extra paid drinks. P.S. to me it's better to rise the price 1 euro/day for a room and let all the guests use the fridge (it's standing already in a room, it uses electrisity, you just locke the door, what the point?) Also very interesting was table-serving during breakfast: a plate, a cup, a spoon and a knife (without a fork!) and trash bin in the center of the table. Don't argue, maybe it's some traditional way, but in reality you have to go to the table, take a cup and come back againe. But should look for a fork somewhere else... May be these trifeles are not crusial, but they spoilt the whole atmoshere!

The hotel is very nice, it looks better than I have expected. The rooms are cleaned every day. The swimming pool is great, it has salted water and at the beginning of September is was not very crowded. The breakfas, even if it kind of repeats the dishes, is very good and you have what to choose. We also had dinner which was very good. There are different types of meats every day and different garnishes also. You can also have dessert. The staff is very nice and helpful, especially the ones from the restaurant. The location is very good, it is a quiet area but there are issues in finding parking places. I would totally recommend the place, it is very good value for money. I hope to come back here.
